Military Hardware and Projects

Military

Phase specializes in military compliant hardware, featuring rugged construction and hermetic housings, military airborne and ground environments, and MIL-STD screening and quality systems. Typical environments include vibration, shock, wide temperature ranges, 100% humidity, altitude, rapid decompression, salt, sand and dust and radiation. Full verified specification compliant performance under all environments is a typical requirement.

In 2003, Phase Global released a number of dedicated products designed specifically for the rigors of military and civilian use in rapidly deployable emergency/strategic telecommunications. These products feature fully redundant, self contained and secure systems that can be dropped by air or land vehicles to create a rapidly deployable wireless communications system. Designed and engineered within the company these products conform to typical military specifications for reliability, and wide environmental operating characteristics ranging from -30 degrees +55 degrees Celsius. Services offered through these integrated modules includes high speed, encrypted data and voice, telemetry and environmental monitoring. When deployed from moving vehicles such as aircraft, the self powered, self contained units are designed to land, right themselves, power up, and automatically join themselves to other units like themselves acting both as repeaters and endpoint telecom agents.

Arctic subzero and space telecom products designed to be operated in extreme temperatures were released in 1997 by the company engineers in response to a contract to provide reliable, low costs communications to remote locations and operators. Although primarily sold to government agencies, some of the technologies created in these products find themselves in commercial products also offered by the company.
